11/2/2020 Java For Os X Yosemite Download
Oracle's Java version 7u25 and below have been disabled by Apple on OS X. Updating to the latest release will allow Java to be run on Mac OS X. » Download latest Java » After I updated to Sierra, Yosemite or El Capitan, why am I told to install Java after I already installed the latest Java? Nov 17, 2014 So, I decided to try and implement some of the various ‘fixes’ to see what might be the best way to get Minecraft working with the latest Java release on OS X Yosemite. Update: Saturday, November 22, 2014. One of my friends feels I’ve maybe been a bit too hard on Mojang.
Since downloading and installing OS X Yosemite, I was required to search Oracle.com to download the newer version of Java 8.20+ in order to continue using Java on the new OS. I followed the Pop Up Box linking to the Oracle.com page. I followed the instructions and seemed out 'JRE DOWNLOAD' for Java SE Runtime Environment 8. I downloaded and installed the proper version for my MAC OS. The software version was Java v8.25.
Since that time, I keep running into the same minor problem after I boot up my 17' Macbook Pro Retina. It continually gives me this Pop Up Box:
'You are running Mac OS X 10.10, which is currently an unsupported platform for Java 7. Starting with Java 8 Update 20 (8u20), download and install Java 8 from oracle.com.'
I don't see anything improper workings and I just want to remove this unwanted warning with a correct fix. Please give your input. Thank you in advance.
